Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from St. Ambrose University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.


Learners in this program/experience are introduced to design for interactive documents and digital interfaces. The fundamentals of user experience design, user interface design, and research-based problem solving are studied. Coursework focuses on frontend design and development strategies including: analytic methods, ideation, sketching, and prototyping.

Expected outcomes and deliverables

Deliverables are negotiable, and will seek to align the needs of the learners and the organization. 


Some final project deliverables might include: 

  1. A 10-15 minute presentation on key findings and recommendations
  2. Website graphics and interface design recommendations
  3. A complete website utilizing a CMS system (SquareSpace)

Project Examples

Requirements

Learners in groups of 2-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations based on their in-depth research and analysis.


Project activities that learners can complete may include, but are not limited to: 


  • Describe, test and evaluate the usability and sustainability of user interfaces.
  • Utilize client based concepts to develop user friendly interfaces.
  • Demonstrate competency in information architecture and interface design techniques.
  • Deliver professional presentations that justify the design process and development stages.
