Would you like to get creative, innovative and strategic ideas when planning for change in your organization? We invite you to partner with our College students! Student teams can provide a framework to launch, maintain and sustain the change while aligning with your company purpose and culture. For this change plan to be successful, we will require some information from you regarding the vision, values and mission of your organization. If you are looking for a foundation to plan, and implement change within your organization, then this group of learners can create a plan to do so.

The final project deliverables will include:

1. Executive Summary of the strategic plan.

2. Gantt chart of the activities and timeline.

3. Oral and written presentation of the recommendations - presentation can be in person, recorded or through Teams delivery.

Project Examples

Based on the organizational information you provide, learners will develop a strategic change management plan, which will include framework and structure to manage the change within your organization. Based on your needs, student teams will address the topics that are most critical to your organization today and provide innovative solutions to help you overcome these challenges. Examples of projects could include but are not limited to:

  • Company relocation and downsizing of workforce
  • Employee onboarding update
  • Transition to remote or hybrid workplace
  • Introduction or update of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging policy
  • Conversion of OH&S process from paper to digital format
  • Alignment of reward package to the organizational purpose
  • Recommendation for talent management plan that includes social media platforms

Project deliverables include but are not limited to:

  • Analyze the change and explain why the change is required in the organization.
  • Provide a Gantt chart with the key activities in the change process.
  • Identify the type of power that will leverage the change and suggest ways to lower the resistance.
  • Assess the readiness of the organization for the change.
  • Propose how to implement the change.
  • Recommend the sponsor and change agents in the organization who can influence the change.
  • Suggest a communications plan which will include identifying who should be communicating, how they should communicate and timing of the communication
