Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from St. Ambrose University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools.


Learners in this program/experience: "Written Business Communication" is designed to first acquaint students with the basics of business writing. It then offer opportunities for practice, collaboration, and feedback on writing through weekly assignments, collaborative work on key topics, and ultimately a portfolio that demonstrates progress over the semester.


Both minor and major assignments can be tailored to suit your business's needs. Multiple teams of students will work on each aspect of your writing projects to provide several complete options for each request. The course instructor facilitates communication between your business and student teams to optimize the outcomes of the accelerated, eight-week duration.

Project Examples

Learners in groups of 3-5 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.


Writing skills that learners can bring to your project may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Organization – Students will business writing that is logically organized with specific audiences in mind.
  • Clarity – Students complete assignments in concise and direct prose.
  • Structure – Students are able to implement a variety of basic business writing document forms.
  • Research – Students can reports that reflect research into key business practices.
  • Audience – Students focus on how to Identify and respond to diverse audiences.
  • Tone – Students use appropriate tone to communicate positive, negative, and persuasive messages.

Provide relevant information and/or data as needed for the project.

Give overall written or video feedback on submitted projects en masse

Respond to requests for additional information (will be aggregated by instructor)
