Learners in this program will be able to translate into practice the knowledge, skills, and values taught in the classroom to a human service setting. They will begin developing a sense of professional identity as they think, feel, and act in accordance with the responsibilities, rights, and values of a human services professional.
Organizational Communication Group Project

Learners in this program/experience are communication majors in this Organizational Communication course. Students devise, conduct and complete a challenging communication project. Students will also learn about career development and prepare for life after graduation.
Conducting and Interpreting Public Opinion Polls

Looking to elevate your organization, and bring it to the next level? Bring on learners from Wingate University to be your learner-consultants, in a project-based experience. Learners will work on one main project over the experience of the semester, connecting with you as needed with virtual communication tools. Learners in this program/experience will be introduced to the nature and development of political opinions; political socialization; voting behavior; and the relation between opinions and public policy. What do people think about politics and why? Where do they develop these beliefs? How do these beliefs translate into election outcomes and public policies? And how exactly do we know what these opinions are? Additionally, this course will teach students to design, conduct, and interpret public opinion polls.
