The Starfish Canada is looking for 1 student to facilitate a workshop series for our Editorial Community that focuses on climate storytelling and/or developing writing and communication skills. The student will create content for a workshop series that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization.

The Starfish Canada's Editorial Program is looking for a student that is aiming to help our writer-editor team improve their climate storytelling skills. With the LevelUp Internship program, we have the opportunity to expand the programs available to our writers/editors and therefore want to recruit an intern to provide facilitation support through a series of writing/storytelling-focused workshops for our volunteer team. 

To accomplish this, we expect the student will:

1. Lead and develop 3 interactive workshops for our Editorial Team on the theme of storytelling/writing/creative writing skills.
2. The student will submit 3 workshop plans prior to each workshop for approval by the Editor-in-Chief.

The student will also have biweekly check-ins with the Editor-in-chief in order to provide feedback and support. We will provide the student with a timeline and a schedule of deadlines for the workshops/workshop plan and materials to ensure the student remains on track and has regular support meeting their deadlines.

Our Editorial Leadership Team at The Starfish Canada is here to support the student facilitator from day one of this internship with anything they need. Our main form of communication is through both email and Slack messages, Monday through Thursday, 9am to 5pm, EST.
