The project aims to enhance guests' experiences at Lake Louise Resort by increasing their awareness of available services and amenities during their visit, with a focus on improving summer sales. Currently, the resort utilizes an aerial photo overlaid with trail information, which, though helpful, lacks mobile functionality and fails to provide guests with a clear perspective of their surroundings. Moreover, geo-important features such as shuttle pickup locations, e-bike rentals, trailheads, viewing locations, and other amenities are fragmented across various web content sources.

The proposed solution involves the implementation of a digital interactive trail map for summer operations, offering guests a mobile-ready, user-friendly interface that integrates all essential amenities, trails, and information. In addition to providing key insights into offered amenities, the project will address a key attraction for visitors -- wildlife spotting. Mountain staff may optionally add geo-located wildlife sightings directly onto the map, complete with timestamps and optional pictures further incentivizing their visit to the Lake Louise Gondola. This centralized resource will provide guests with easy access to crucial amenities and enhance their overall experience at the resort, ultimately contributing to increased guest satisfaction and summer sales.

We aim to provide a comprehensive 3D interactive map tailored specifically for summer operations at Lake Louise Resort. The map will retain a familiar look and feel to the winter version but will be styled in vibrant summer colors, greens, and grays, capturing the essence of the season. 

Key features: 

• Hiking trails (V0): The map will feature resort specific trails including Pika Trail, Kicking Horse Pass and guided tours. 
• Parking information (V0): Guests will have access to parking information ensuring a seamless arrival experience
• Amenities V0: Essential amenities including the wildlife interpretive center, e-bike rentals, dinning, and other services will be prominently displayed on the map making it easier to locate
• Shuttle pickup / drop-off locations (V0): Information regarding shuttle pickups for Moraine Lake and Lake Louise are included facilitating convenient information on transportation. 
• Wildlife spotting (V1): One of the highlights of the map will allow guests to easily see where animals have been spotted by resort staff. 

Customization and Management

Map features may be configured easily through the existing content management system the resort has become accustomed to using. This flexibility ensures the map remains up to date and reflects any changes to resort services.
