Details

We are building an mobile app that helps people in Toronto to look for new frends to join activities.


We need to revise our UX/ UI desgin to fix some UX issues through the front end such as chagning colour theme, buttons, minimzing fonts, organize tabs, and ranking activites in order of dates, add blocks which suggest activites that users might be interested


Potentially design new features if enough time such as adding a chat feature.


Skils we need you to have :

  • Frontend: React Native (Expo), NativeWind(Tailwind CSS)
  • Backend: Supabase(Auth, Postgress DB, Storage)


Bonus steps in the process would also include:

  • Testing the new app.
  • Learn about UX/UI optimazation
Deliverables

By the end of the project, students should demonstrate:

  • Familiarity with our platform, products and services
  • Familiarity with the features of our apps
  • Re-creation of important app features
  • Recommendation of ways to simplify app adaptation

Bonus steps would include:

  • Testing the new app

Final deliverables should include

  • A submitssion of new app presentation
Mentorship

Students will connect directly with us for mentorship throughout the project. We will be able to provide answers to questions such as:

  • Our platform, products and services
  • Input on choices, problems or anything else the students might encounter.
