Students from the Media, Arts, and Design -Web Development program will possess the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to design and develop web content for all methods of distribution.

This can include:

  • Web Design using HTML, CSS, FlexBox, Grid
  • Website Development - website and application
  • Design and Develop JavaScript Game
  • WordPress
  • SVG Animation
  • Frameworks such as REACT, Vue, Next.js etc.

Project Examples

Our students are agile designers, able to adapt to design and technology challenges. They are in their 4th semester and are seeking a field placement opportunity.

Potential projects students could take on during their field placement include:

  • Design and Create a website using HTML, CSS, JS
  • Implement WordPress site using template and plugin
  • Implement a WordPress site using a custom theme
  • Design & Develop a JS game from scratch
  • Create animated SVG assets
  • Good knowledge of REACT

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Be able to provide subject matter related mentor to the student

Be available for a quick phone call with the instructor to initiate your relationship and confirm your scope is an appropriate fit for the course.

Provide a dedicated contact who is available to answer periodic emails or phone calls over the duration of the project to address students' questions.
