Expected outcomes and deliverables

Projects are to have an outcome which has an environmental or sustainability context to it. These are students learning Project Management principles in the background, while engaging with stakeholders to perform their project and deliverables.


Course: 8 months


Timeframe

Semester 1 (4 months)

  • Meet and discuss project (or potential project) outline and deliverables.
  • Students will create and complete a Project Charter which requires Sponsor sign-off.

 

Semester 2 (4 months)

  • Students complete their Project Management Plan
  • February - Project Execution phase begins.
  • April – Final deliverables and presentations

Companies must answer the following questions to submit a match request to this experience:

Do you have a project with an outcome related to environmental sustainability?

Is there capacity for someone to help guide the students for approximately 30 minutes every two weeks?

What student backgrounds or skillset are you looking for? (Software, Education, etc) (our graduate students have many background and this will help with potential matchmaking)
