In 2019, RBC Future Launch and Riipen launched a partnership with the goal of increasing access to high-impact work-integrated learning (WIL) opportunities for Canadian post-secondary students Our shared mission: to help prepare learners, particularly those from underserved communities, for the Future of Work. By the end of 2022, the RBC-Riipen partnership has delivered over 27,000 online WIL experiences, to a wide diversity of learners and educational partners across Canada with the potential of delivering over 250,000 by 2026.

Career Internship Collaboration Opportunity With Portage College
INTD 205
Portage College offers the Career Internship 1 course, a unique opportunity for second-year students to gain practical work experience in their field of study. Through this 100-hour work placement, students will apply classroom learning to real-world projects, enhancing their career readiness. The course also includes 30 hours of employment training to help students prepare for the workplace. As part of their learning, students will engage in tasks that help them build valuable professional skills such as communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Students in this program are highly motivated and eager to learn while contributing to meaningful work. They are expected to demonstrate initiative, responsibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a professional environment. The main goal of this course is to prepare students for their future careers by giving them hands-on experience in a work setting related to their academic and career aspirations.
IT Business Analysis
Our students have the skills to create and manage organizational process change as well as an understanding of how to gather, document, and communicate stakeholder requirements. Students are well suited to recommend and evaluate solutions, provide quality assurance criteria, perform some data modeling and project management. We are looking to create a first-time mentorship opportunity for our students by pairing them with a skilled business analyst at your company who can mentor and support our students through a small project.
July 2024 - February 2025 Portage College Level UP
Welcome to Level UP , powered by Riipen! This innovative program connects employers with Canadian post-secondary students for 60-hour paid projects. Students receive $1,400 CAD from Riipen upon successful project completion. Employers Here’s how it works: Request to match your project to this July 2024 - February 2025 Portage College Level UP cycle. The Level UP team will review and either accept your match or request slight changes. Once your project is matched, students will apply to work on the project with you. You will review applications, and select the student(s) that you feel will be the best fit with your project. The student will set the team start and end dates in collaboration with you. They will need to hit “start project” on the Riipen platform and submit all deliverables including 60 work log hours before the end date. The Level UP team will review their project submission & deliverables, before processing payment. Collaborate with Future Mobile App Developers

Learners in Centennial College's Mobile Application Development Project course focus on developing their skills in mobile app design, agile methodologies, and project management while addressing real-world challenges. They seek to enhance their abilities in teamwork, problem-solving, and effective communication throughout the project. Students are required to work in teams of 4-5 to design and implement a complete mobile app (native app, hybrid app, React Native, or mobile web app) and create the artifact design by applying agile software development methodologies and project management principles. Employers are expected to provide regular communication, guidance, and essential information related to the project. They will also be invited to attend the final presentation and provide constructive feedback on the students' work via the Riipen platform.

The goal is to provide actionable insights and strategies that can be implemented to enhance your organization's operations or market position.

My learners are equipped to tackle projects in machine learning and statistical learning, having gained proficiency in Python and R. They have engaged with several hands-on courses covering machine learning, statistical data analysis, SQL and database management, Tableau dashboard creation, data engineering, and big data.
