Students in this course are prepared to examine the impact of financial decisions internal to, and external to the organization. Students are exposed to the topic of financial markets, and how financial information is related to the success of the firm, especially regarding the ability to raise capital. Students are knowledgeable in a variety of areas, including: the different instruments and institutions used in financial management, strategies for evaluating and minimizing risk, as well as the role and expectation of shareholders.
Learners
Deliverables will vary depending on the scope of the partnership. However, these deliverables must be discussed and agreed upon prior to the start of the work period.

Project Examples
Requirements
Beginning in October students in groups of 8 will work with your company to identify your needs and provide actionable recommendations, based on their in-depth research and analysis.
Project examples that students can complete may include, but are not limited to:
- Assessing basic financial statements and calculating the major financial rations
- Measuring and appraising projects financial feasibility using NPV, IRR
- Proposing the optimal portfolio mix for an investor
- Identifying the challenges and opportunities of merger and acquisitions
