Details

Hi there! We are looking for a student with UX and research interests in psychology, mental health and wellbeing. The project aims to research and build critical artifacts that can be employed for new solution development. The students will be assisting a team of 2 principal researchers, an engineering team and three advisors who have a clinical psychology and psychotherapy background.

At Honest Empathy, we want to improve mental healthcare through innovative support groups and therapeutic journaling. Together, let’s improve mental wellness and make isolation a thing of the past!

Project Scope:

  1. Develop prototypes based on research design for improving our solutions.
  2. Develop low and high fidelity wireframes that our engineers can use to make your concept a reality
  3. Build visual media assets that align with user needs and blend in well with our current solutions
  4. Summarize research findings into a problem analysis paper that assesses user pains from a psychological and neurological perspective.

Ultimately, the goal is to ensure a successful public launch by executing an effective UX strategy. Help us improve our solutions and effectively work towards the better mental health of our community.

If you resonate with our vision to make mental healthcare accessible for all and are ready to tackle this challenge with us, then we'd love to hear from you!

Mentorship

At Honest Empathy our executive team will offer one-on-one mentorship to each student and coach them throughout the project. We will begin by understanding the student’s professional and career goals and learn how this project can help them build skills to achieve those goals. We will create an action plan for the project's duration to help them gain the skills they want. We will have check-ins 2-3 times a week to work together, understand their progress, remove blockers and coach them. Team meetings will be conducted through Zoom and phone calls.

Our executive team and advisors have backgrounds in:

  • Product Management
  • Government Policy
  • Psychology and Clinical practice
  • Organizational Strategy
  • Full stack software development
  • Technology Consulting
  • Academic Research

We will open our network to each student and make introductions for them to learn more about their desired field. At the end of the project, the student may receive the opportunity to continue a summer internship, based on performance.
