writing editing email marketing marketing copyThe main goal for the project for this not-for-profit organisation is to build automated email marketing - using high-value emails that then lead the women with high blood pressure and weight issues (and other chronic diseases) to the paid Women's Health Hub Community membership. This will involve editing an already-existing free educational email course (which currently has no pitch but is just a helpful course), creating or suggesting the creation of other free offerings, and possibly also editing a digital 5-module course to help women get started eating this way. The students will be required to add/edit a "non-salesy", highly ethical pitch that will lead those appropriate for it to purchase the membership for on-going expert guidance and support in a community of women worldwide.
Tasks learners will need to complete to achieve the project goal:
- Edit a free educational email course on whole food plant-based eating for optimising women's health
- Determine if the existing digital 5-module course (1.25hr total time) needs editing, and if so, do the editing - if recommending that Dr. Polak create more video footage, then providing scripts - if this is in the scope of the students' interests and abilities - would be helpful
- Determine how to make existing free info session/webinar (about 55 minutes) shorter, if deemed to be beneficial, and implement the edits - as well as recommend a pitch at the end of it and write the script for it
- Write and edit compelling emails for the funnel, including the pitch for the membership at the end of the free educational email course that helps women get started eating this way
- Implement automated funnels to attract women with chronic diseases into a membership which helps the women transition their nutrition (and, in time, lifestyle) to optimise their health (with a view to reversing their diseases)
Final deliverables:
- Completed free educational email course (already created and edited, likely no further editing needed), with pitch included
- A list of other free offerings by email that I could offer to my email list - with some implemented, if the students' time allows
- Developed digital or live 5-module course (it already exists - likely won't need much, if any, editing)
- Modified free info session/webinar, if recommended by the students that this would be beneficial (this may take the most time to choose which segments to delete, shorten, change etc)
- Compelling high-value emails for my email list people
- Implemented automated funnel(s)
I will meet with the students for an hour per week, or more/less often as advised by the educator and students. I will give access to Acumbamail (my email platform - similar to Mailerlite, ActiveCampaign etc), Fusebase for project management (I am not yet familiar with how to use it, but if you/the students know how, it would be a very helpful project management tool). I also have BigVu for creating videos/reels if the students create scripts and need me to create videos, as well as VistaSocial for posting on various platforms. I have Thrivecart in case this would be beneficial at some point in the email marketing for upsells downsells etc - although I use the payment platform Zeffy since this is a nonprofit and Zeffy charges no fees.

Good health and well-beingAbout the company
This is a start-up not-for-profit that helps women struggling with high blood pressure/ cholesterol, weight issues, diabetes, and many other chronic health concerns to prevent, suspend and whenever possible (which is often) reverse their chronic diseases, primarily by using the healing power of plant-based nutrition. We also incorporate the other healthy lifestyle pillars or habits.
Vivian Polak, MD, provides the coaching to the clients by way of courses and a women's community for on-going expert guidance and support. It has been enormously helpful to have a few people volunteer from time to time to help get the message and assistance out to the public - with video editing, marketing, website design, other IT support, etc.
Incidentally, my first undergraduate degree was in Business Administration (Western Univ, London ON), but after a few years of working in business I went to medical school, so I need lots of help with many facets of the nonprofit.
