We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Information Security Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in information security, demonstrated through relevant coursework or practical experience. This position involves handling file transfers, maintaining secure file naming conventions, and assisting with information security audits for student club and committee admin processes.

Deliverables

Key Responsibilities: 


File Transfers: 

  • Facilitate secure and efficient file transfers. 
  • Ensure adherence to established security protocols during the entire file transfer process. 
  • Monitor and report any anomalies or security incidents related to file transfers. 


File Naming: 

  • Implement and maintain standardized file naming conventions to enhance organization and ease of access. 


Information Security Audit Assistance: 

  • Collaborate with the Hart House Programs and Information Technology teams to conduct audits of student club and committee admin processes. 
  • Assist in identifying security vulnerabilities, gaps, and non-compliance issues. 


Information Security Awareness: 

  • Foster a culture of security awareness among students and committee members. 


Other Duties as Assigned: 

  • Flexibility to assist with various information security tasks and projects as needed. 
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in information security. 
Mentorship

Hart House will provide on-the-job training, consistent feedback and evaluation, access to professional tools and software in addition to other learning opportunities.
