digital content project management marketing materials content creation digital media strategy digital marketing sales research social media innovationTo help the BC government reach its 2035 EV sales target, the Automotive Retailers Association of British Columbia (ARA) has launched EVfriendly, an industry-led program, sponsored by the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation designed to cultivate a higher degree of confidence in zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) ownership.
The ARA is seeking help in optimizing our EVfriendly social media and blog content. We are seeing a student who can help us by:
- Researching and develop digital content for our EVfriendly social media channels and other media publications focusing on various aspects of the EV market;
- Creating other marketing materials to support our digital media strategy;
- Assisting with the development of industry training videos by researching and writing content;
- Making recommendations for improvements to our media platforms and providing input on our digital media strategy.
Key Deliverables and Instructions Include:
· Review the EVfriendly website, social media and training videos and provide an overview with recommendations for further content.
· With input from the project manager and the initial overview come up with a list of topics and research questions that would be of interest and fit with the overall objectives of the EVfriendly program.
· Write at least ten short blog articles based on the topics decided upon with the project manager.
· Develop short messaging and/or graphic content for our social media posts.
· If time is permitted, assist with further research that will inform content for our training programs.
The position will be virtual. The student will meet frequently online with the Senior Project Manager throughout the project period and will provide regular progress updates. The Senior Project Manager will provide the student with the project objectives and offer general direction allowing flexibility for the student to find ways to meet their objectives. The student may also meet with our marketing team for added guidance and to review research findings and discuss next steps.
The Senior Project Manager is a certified project management professional with over 30 years in the not-for-profit sector.
About the company
Established in 1951, the Automotive Retailers Association (ARA) represents eight different automotive services industry sub-sectors.
The ARA core competencies include:
Industry advocacy and leadership;
Industry knowledge and research; and,
Business development and training.
Throughout its 70-year history, the ARA has actively championed industry through many business development projects including labour attraction and retention programs, industry standards and certification programs, health and safety, and training programs including partners such as WorkSafeBC, RoadSafetyBC, ICBC, and many other government and non-government organizations.
In 1996, the ARA developed North America’s first environmental certification program for automotive recyclers. Its most recent program is EVfreindly, a program designed to help grow the electric vehicle market in Canada.
