EVfriendly Digital Marketing Research and Content Development

To help the BC government reach its 2035 EV sales target, the Automotive Retailers Association of British Columbia (ARA) has launched EVfriendly, an industry-led program, sponsored by the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation designed to cultivate a higher degree of confidence in zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) ownership. The ARA is seeking help in optimizing our EVfriendly social media and blog content. We are seeing a student who can help us by: Researching and develop digital content for our EVfriendly social media channels and other media publications focusing on various aspects of the EV market; Creating other marketing materials to support our digital media strategy; Assisting with the development of industry training videos by researching and writing content; Making recommendations for improvements to our media platforms and providing input on our digital media strategy.

Digital Marketing Strategy Plan

British Columbia is taking steps towards creating a cleaner transportation system. The province is investing in improved transit, regulating cleaner fuels, providing incentives for zero emission vehicles (ZEVs), and has set a 100 percent sales target for 2035. To help government meet its 2035 EV sales target, the Automotive Retailers Association of British Columbia (ARA) has launched EVfriendly, an industry-led program, sponsored by the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation designed to cultivate a higher degree of confidence in zero-emission vehicle (ZEV) ownership. The program helps ensure that only trained and qualified industry professionals are selling, servicing, repairing, and recycling ZEVs, in a responsible and safe manner, and provides consumers with the right information to make informed choices. The program is now in its early marketing phase. EVfriendly has produced a website, digital content, videos, training courses, and podcasts all designed to help spread the word about ZEVs. The ARA is seeking help in optimizing our social media and digital marketing strategy. We are seeing a student who can help us by: Conducting an analysis of our efforts to date in marketing our program via YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Google ad campaigns; Conducting a review of our digital marketing plan; Reviewing analytics for the EVfriendly website, social media posts, YouTube channel and Podcasts; and Making recommendations for improvements to these platforms and providing input on our digital media strategy.
