Details

NL Eats is focused on promoting sustainable agricultural practices by leveraging AI technology. The project aims to develop an AI-powered tool that assists farmers in making data-driven decisions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance carbon sequestration. By integrating multimodal data sources, the tool will provide a comprehensive understanding of farm operations. The project will utilize Microsoft's open-source research to design solutions that estimate emissions, track progress, and offer actionable insights. This initiative will enable farmers to adopt sustainable practices effectively, contributing to global efforts in addressing climate change. The project is designed for learners in a Computer Science or AI program, allowing them to apply their classroom knowledge to real-world challenges in sustainable agriculture.

Deliverables

The project deliverables include a prototype AI tool capable of estimating emissions and providing actionable insights for farmers. Additionally, a detailed report documenting the development process, data integration methods, and testing results will be required. The team will also prepare a presentation to showcase the tool's functionality and potential impact on sustainable agriculture practices. These deliverables will demonstrate the learners' ability to apply AI and data integration skills in a practical context.
