Autism Speaks Canada is a national Canadian charitable organization focused on advocacy, services and research in the field of autism. Out vision is to build inclusive communities where autistic Canadians can reach their full potential.

Based in Toronto, Ontario, the Fundraising Coordinator will work with the Fundraising Development division whose purpose is to identify, research, cultivate, solicit and steward individual, corporate and foundation gifts to support the mission of Autism Speaks Canada. This division is responsible for growing the donor base and revenue, which represents 66% or $2.3M of Autism Speaks Canada’s total revenue.

Deliverables

Position Requirements:

Addressing priority ASC needs:

• Increase # of new, returning, and lapsed donors in pipeline for cultivation

• Increase capacity to generate revenue from individuals and corporations and foundations

Projects and Responsibilities

· Prepare thorough meeting briefings on donors and prospective funders for the Director of Development

· Assist in maintenance of prospect pipeline database, identifying, researching, and qualifying prospective funders, including corporations, foundations, and individuals

· Execute stewardship and cultivation phone calls and emails

· Update constituent records and log actions in Raiser’s Edge Nxt database and execute database clean-up projects

· Support with various administrative and strategic tasks on an as needed basis

Mentorship

The student will be supervised by the Director of Development, will fully participate in the staff and team meetings, will receive appropriate training on the use of necessary software and will receive any other resources necessary for performing their tasks.
