Details

We would like to develop an online summer program that supports secondary school students in their writing skills.

This project should focus on:

  • Gathering relevant course design and content information from the Ontario curriculum
  • Gathering relevant information on pre-skills needed to accomplish writing goals.
  • Putting together teaching materials for students to reference

We have lots of existing content to share, so the project wouldn't be starting from scratch. The bulk of the project would be course design, rather than content creation.

Deliverables

The final deliverables should take the form of:

  • A Google Slide presentation for a tutor to use for instructional teaching
  • A Google Drive with exercises and resources for students

Students will need to become familiar with the grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 English writing expectations and then design content around literary devices, sentence structures, paragraph writing and essay writing.

Mentorship

Students will connect directly with the owener and founder of Early Learning Foundations to design project. Student will be given an ELF email address to keep access between team east.
