Details

Re_Generation aims to re_imagine our schools, re_purpose our careers, and re_model our companies to be aligned with regenerative principles. We created Canada’s largest platform to empower youth in sustainability and social impact.

Our website has Canada's largest centralized resource for young people who want to start a career in sustainability & social impact. It includes a self-assessment guide, 60+ career path interviews with industry leaders, 10+ sectoral guides to understand the key trends and opportunities of various sectors & industries, and a job board page that includes the most extensive mapping of places to get an internship in social impact & sustainability.

We also have very comprehensive toolkits to empower students by sharing best practices on how to organize student events on sustainability & how to drive curriculum change.

So far, close to 10,000 unique website visitors have used our resources. We want to continue building and improving this resource center!

Deliverables
  • Help build our ambassador program to equip student leaders across the country with the necessary resources to advocate themselves for curriculum change organizing at their own business school.
  • Conduct focus groups and surveys to get feedback on our existing resources and identify missing ones we should create.
  • Design an online barometer (like the one by Ecological Awakening in France) to measure the progress of business schools in terms of sustainability integration.
  • Research the state of business & economics education on sustainability.
  • Map out business & economics undergraduate societies and develop our understanding of how to influence them.
Mentorship

- Weekly 1h check-in.

- One-on-one mentorship session every 2-3 weeks with career and intellectual development support.

- Tri-weekly meeting with the rest of our organization's team to learn from others.

- Introduction to connections/stakeholders who might have relevant insights to share with the student for the project.

The supervisor has more than two years of experience with supervision and mentorship.

Canada's largest youth-run organization dedicated to advancing sustainable business practices!

Re_Generation is a Canadian youth movement that seeks to build a regenerative, sustainable, and just economy. We created Canada’s largest platform to empower youth in sustainability and social impact.

- We aim to re_imagine our schools, re_purpose our careers, and re_model our companies to be aligned with regenerative principles.
- We provide resources for young individuals (18-30) to launch impact-driven careers and advocate for change within their schools and companies.
- We also aim to advance public policies that promote regenerative and sustainable business practices.

After three years of existence as the Canadian Business Youth Council for Sustainable Development, we have changed our name to Re_Generation to become more inclusive of all youth, not just business youth. We now have a team of 11 full-time paid staff.
