I enjoyed working with MyEdMaster on developing a strategic marketing plan for their tutoring and STEM programs. The project was well-structured, and I appreciated the clear communication and openness to new ideas. That creative space helped us develop our own process and bring forward some compelling insights. 📊 Presentation-Style Deliverables The work felt relevant and applicable. Putting together real charts, summarizing trends, and explaining them clearly during a professional-style presentation was a great skill-building opportunity — something we’ll definitely take with us. ⚙️ Where Things Could Be Improved 📅 Early Structure & Expectations At the start, we found ourselves unsure how to pace the project or visualize what the final deliverable should look like. A more structured overview (like a sample timeline, rough slide structure, or data example) might’ve helped us hit the ground running with more clarity. 📁 Data Entry Consistency When collecting participant submissions, we noticed some confusion around formatting — like name inconsistencies or mixed use of yes/no vs. numbers. A guided entry form or a simple template with required fields could help improve data quality and reduce the time needed to clean and organize it later. 👥 Clarifying Team Roles Since there was no built-in project structure for dividing responsibilities, things like who would handle charts, analysis, or slides were left open-ended. A brief suggestion on role distribution (e.g., Data Lead, Visual Lead, Presentation Lead) could encourage more equal team involvement. ✅ Midpoint Check-In Suggestion A quick feedback checkpoint halfway through the project — just to make sure the team’s data formatting and visualization approach is on track — would help catch issues early before the final push. Final Reflection This project taught us a lot — not just about health behavior trends, but also about how to organize, interpret, and clearly present a complex dataset to a broader audience. These are skills we’ll be carrying forward into future classes, internships, and careers. We’re especially proud of how the data came together to tell a story, and we hope the insights we shared (like the contrast in short-term vs. long-term gains between Baby Steps and Big Steps) help inform how future adherence research might be structured or explored. The UX design journey on this project was both rewarding and challenging. It pushed us to grow individually and as a team. Great company. Meetings and constant communication were helpful. Having a brief of branding attributes gave us a good starting point for the product. The only minor setback we had was scheduling people to test out the prototypes. It was a little challenging to find times that worked for people.

Ripen wouldn't let me give five stars but if I could I would. Working with MyYouthSpan/MyEdMaster and John Leddo was an amazing experience. John kept us on track with what he expected and worked collaboratively with us to make sure we completed our tasks exactly how they wanted. There was consistent communication and we received great constructive criticism and feedback throughout the entire project.

We were able to improved our research skills and was able to deliver outputs that is needed.
