PROJECT DESCRIPTION/DESCRIPTION DU PROJET:

Re_Generation aims to re_imagine our schools, re_purpose our careers, and re_model our companies to be aligned with regenerative principles. We created Canada’s largest platform to empower youth in sustainability and social impact.

It is crucial to ensure that our resources are made accessible to most of Canada's young people. This is why we want to have enough strategic outreach to share these resources to impact as many people as possible and empower the next generation of leaders to shape the future they want to be part of.

Deliverables

Depending on your interests and skills:

- Find innovative ways to package our wide set of sustainability resources to empower youth.

- If you have web development skills (particularly in WordPress), you could help update our website with new tools and optimize its user-friendliness.

- Create innovative sustainability-related content for social media by using our large internal database of knowledge and find new sources of ideas from other national and international organizations/newspapers.

- Use social media to tell powerful stories, challenge the status quo, educate youth and leaders, and advance the conversation about neglected issues and social and environmental solutions using digital tools.

- Video animation for short videos (format of World Economic Forum 60-90sec videos: https://bit.ly/3FpM0uu)

- Graphic design (see our posts on our LinkedIn page).

Mentorship

- Weekly 1h check-in.

- One-on-one mentorship session every 2-3 weeks with career and intellectual development support.

- Monthly meeting with the rest of our organization's team to learn from others.

- Introduction to connections/stakeholders who might have relevant insights to share with the student for the project.

- The supervisor has more than two years of experience with supervision and mentorship.

Canada's largest youth-run organization dedicated to advancing sustainable business practices!

Re_Generation is a Canadian youth movement that seeks to build a regenerative, sustainable, and just economy. We created Canada’s largest platform to empower youth in sustainability and social impact.

- We aim to re_imagine our schools, re_purpose our careers, and re_model our companies to be aligned with regenerative principles.
- We provide resources for young individuals (18-30) to launch impact-driven careers and advocate for change within their schools and companies.
- We also aim to advance public policies that promote regenerative and sustainable business practices.

After three years of existence as the Canadian Business Youth Council for Sustainable Development, we have changed our name to Re_Generation to become more inclusive of all youth, not just business youth. We now have a team of 11 full-time paid staff.
