Reporter - Black Woman Leadership

Positions available: 4 We would like students to help us with creating content that is aligned with our vision, mission, and sector. We will ensure the student has a clear understanding of what these elements are for our organization. Alpha Woman is a media company that helps Alpha Women step into their power and live their best lives physically, mentally, professionally and financially. We are seeking to comprehensively cover how Black women are rising up to combat systemic racism and biases, to launch their own businesses and attain leadership positions. We are looking to engage with great content creators who are passionate about shining the light on incredible Black women and have an interest in creating content in the form of written content, video, audio content, special newsletter series, or a combination of the aforementioned. To accomplish this, we expect the student(s) will: Assist in articulating an editorial strategy and calendar; responsible for assigned content creation aligned with strategy Write blog articles, email newsletters/sequences and other content pieces on assigned topics Publish their work on the Alpha Woman Wordpress CMS (training will be provided) Be a strong interviewer - much of our content is interview based Possess strong research and communication skills as well as the ability to put together a journalistic piece based upon the 5 "w"s Bring ideas for Alpha Woman coverage of Black women leaders to the table Ultimately, you will be working on editorial content creation for our organization, including interviews, researched articles, and potentially podcast or video series depending on the abilities of the student. This student will have a byline on Alpha Woman and will create a portfolio of work for their resume. Students will also become part of the Young Alpha Intern cohort, with Interns from around the world as alumni. On-line Training Course Development

I would like to develop an on-line training course that teaches my audience how to apply the topics covered in my books. This project should focus on: Gathering relevant course design and content information from interviews with me and members of my team. Assessing existing on-line training platforms and recommending the best platform for this course. Assisting in designing the course. Assisting in developing first iteration of course (minimum viable product) We have lots of existing content to share, so the project wouldn't be starting from scratch. The bulk of the project would be course design, rather than content creation. There is a lot of room for creativity and input. You will work closely and can bring in other team members where needed. The intern will also work with the Social Media and Graphic Design Lead to develop and design external facing graphics for social media, and communications. The intern will create social media visuals for at least 5 social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Pinterest) including reels, carousel graphics, static posts, blog banners and more while being directly supervised by the department lead. All stages of the graphic design process will be involved, and the work will vary from planning and creating the most engaging and trendy graphics, to brand design. The main goals of this project are to market the new consulting business with on-brand visuals and develop design assets for the company.
