Green Living 2024 (Earth Day Celebration) Event Planning

The Mission Environmental Stewardship Society (MESS) is committed to providing long term sustainable strategies to the citizens of Mission, British Columbia. We would like to collaborate with students to plan our 2024 Earth Day Celebration, Green Living, to help meet our goals. Green Living is an event held at Fraser River Heritage Park in Mission where vendors, local community groups, sustainable partners and environmental professionals come together to promote environmental consciousness and public education. This will involve several different steps for the students, including: Familiarizing themselves with our mission, values and goals. Familiarizing themselves with the purpose, guidelines and budget of the event. Creating a plan of action and a detailed breakdown of tasks to facilitate the event efficiently. Assisting in marketing and promoting our event. Bonus steps in the process would also include: Recommending improvements for future Earth Day events.
